How to Draw a perfect Brow

Step 1: Find Your Shade

As a general rule of thumb, concealer should be a shade lighter than your natural skin tone, as it needs to blend into your skin while still serving as a highlight. Finding the right concealer shade for you will ultimately result in fresh-looking makeup without having to put in too much effort

Step 2: Get Your Brows Shaped

When your eyebrows are in their best shape, everything from shadow to concealer looks that much better. Shaping your brows will help with stray hairs (to create cleaner lines and a smoother surface for concealer application), and if you have waxing or threading done regularly, they should maintain their shape well. It's always important to pay attention to your arch, as this is a crucial focal point for your brows. If you have light-colored hair that doesn't show, you can always have your brows tinted to enhance the color.

Step 3: Fill Them In

Eyebrow pencils, pomade, gels... you name it, these are all products you can use to fill in areas that are sparse and create your brow shape. Focus on the shape of your arch first, making sure it's defined and natural. When you're done filling in your brows, brush a brow gel through them to make sure hairs are all pointing in the right direction. Brushing brows upward will help create that coveted feathery look, as well as lift the overall appearance of your eyes (making you look more awake). If you find your eyebrows are sparse, there are a few things you can do to help revive hair growth. I'm lightly filling my eyebrows in with Lime Crime Bushy Brow Pen ($20).

Step 4: Apply Your Eye Makeup

Apply whatever eye makeup look you want, whether it's a smoky eye or just a few softly hued shadows for a natural, everyday look. Just one update: Instead of applying a shimmery shadow under the brow, keep the skin under your brow bone bare. Your concealer is next and will act as the main highlight.

Step 5: Finish With Concealer

Applying a light layer of concealer under the brow with a brush or lightly blending it with your finger will bring instant shape and definition to your eyebrows. You can use a thin, angled brush directly under the brow to draw a line, or a more flat concealer brush to blend the concealer out, so it's not as noticeable.

End Result

The end result is naturally highlighted, shaped eyebrows. For sharper definition, line the shape of your brows using a pencil and highlight with a concealer that's two shades lighter than your skin tone (as opposed to one shade lighter).
